"HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY PLANS?"
It is my intention to obtain state approval for new projects in 3 to 4 weeks from the time we receive a new project commitment along with all of the information required to commence the design. In some cases we will do better than this... at other times due to a complex project or a large backlog at the state, some projects will take longer. Aaron Halberg, P.E.
All Wisconsin Commercial Buildings over 25,000 cubic feet in total volume and also some smaller buildings, depending on type of occupancy (see chart below) require plans to be reviewed by Safety & Buildings Personnel. The information above reflects the EARLIEST available appointment with a plan reviewer for a new building. At Halberg Engineering, we try to turn around most Wisconsin Commercial projects in 4 weeks, but we cannot control the State of Wisconsin's schedule which is why we report that information here.
Depending on the size and complexity of the building and the number of other building projects requesting review that same day, the appointment may be later than the dates shown. We try to work with specific plan reviewers that are familiar with Post Frame construction and the submittals we typically provide for them, so while the schedule above shows the next earliest appointment time, the requested reviewers availability may take longer.
